Originally an elvish settlement in the highlands south of the shattered mountains. The mountains are called Oronrukina (shattered mountains) by the elves and Azrakabbud (sharp peaks) by the dwarves. It is also home to the largest single Dwarf delving on the continent. While elves and dwarves are accepted in the empire they are kept somewhat separate and that attitude is returned in kind. The highland elves take this a little further than their northern brethren as their history is tied closely with the three part kingdom that Kiereth used to be and the wars fought with much more animosity than those north of the world spine. Despite this reservation, the Majili council for the province always has Dwarven and Elven representation and frequently sends an Elf or Dwarf to the capitol to represent the province.
Primary industry is limited woodwork and lumber and the mining of the dwarves. A number of spices and other grown things can only be found in the area but food crops are harder to grow making this an area of lower population but on average better educated and more affluent than their neighbors. The long stability of the empire has strengthened this trend even as imperial taxes extracted much from the area. Post empire Kiereth has technically rebelled, but is largely kept separate from the conflict by having the only direct access between them and Visteria locked behind the massive dwarven fortifications of the western entrance to Jathra Delving.
