 The City-state regions are Rhen, Hahn, Bakkarholt, and Anicium.  Before the Khans they had a long history of conflicts with each other.  Bakkarholt was always considered the richest and best defended, though it is also the smallest by population.  Rhen was always the most balanced which led to it's coming out on top in the end.  Hahn is known for it's cavalry, to the point that the city itself never built walls.  Anicium suffered the worst under the Khans and has not really recovered.  (it also needs more development -Alex)
+Rhen as a county is known for the variety of its farm produce and pasta.  Combining the two in endless variation.  Having a larger population than Bakkarholt and coming out of the Khanate years in better condition than Anicium it has also taken over much of the production in the central region and has the largest center of gnomish inventors in Eolanara.
